Spring is here! Easter on Sanibel and Captiva is such a special time, celebrating the risen Lord and all the hope and promise that He brings. We love to talk about our gorgeous beaches, incredible water and nature refuges here but I’m not sure people know about our wonderful places of worship here on the islands. The beautiful St. Isabel’s Catholic Church, St Michael’s, Sanibel Congregational United Church of Christ, a new Baptist Church, Bat Yam Temple of the Islands, the very popular Sanibel Community Church and the 113 year old historic Captiva Chapel by the Sea, just to name a few. We have sunrise services on the beach on Easter morning and it is a moving experience to worship and sing as you see the sun rising over the islands.

After living and working all over South and Central Florida, my husband and I were thrilled to be able to move home to Sanibel Island.READ MORE
